I was a bit disappointed when the waves were small and unnatural looking. After I was done with my whole head, which took me close to 2 hours since I have thick Asian hair, my hair was so bushy I looked like i had an afro. I think this product would be a lot better if the barrel was a bit bigger, otherwise, I agree that it is comparable to crimping.
